If you are a student and insured by any European Social prevention institute, you have the european card for medical insurance. With this card you have the right to get medical care from the italian medical system. In the Provincia of Pisa is covered by the "Distretti dell'Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale n.5 di Pisa".

Visits at the gynecologist or the dentist can be booked at the "Centri Unici Prenotazione" www.usl5.toscana.it it will cost 18-59 euros.

any other specific anylisis have to be asked to the medical autorithy by your general doctor. Some of those thigs have to be paid for.

Access to the "consultorio": you just have to show up during opening times.

Hospitalization has to be assessed by the general doctor or by the "Pronto Soccorso" Call 118 for emergencies the "certificato di idoneità alla pratica sportiva non agonistica" can be given by the general doctor, and it costs between 30 and 50 euros. It's usually asked at the CUS. the "certificato di idoneità alla pratica agonistica" can be asked at the "Medicina dello sport" Medicina generale 2 Universitaria, adificio n*8 piano terra Ambulatorio di Medicina dello sport dell'ospedale Santa Chiara di Pisa or at the Ambulatorio di medicina dello sport dell'Azienda USL 5 di Pisa a Mezzana (Cascina)

If you are an European student but you don't have the european card for medical insurance or you are an extra-european student insured by a private company, you can get the same medical treatments, but you will need to pay them bug money. Keep the invoice and get a refound from your insurance.
